Digital Fashion Design

The following collection projects have been developed while I took a Digital Fashion Design course. Each collection project includes a collection title, color palette, fabric swatches, collection motifs, and digital drawings of various pieces of apparel and accessories. All drawings and project boards were created by using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

Apollo - Men's Apparel and Accessories Fall Collection

This collection takes inspiration from the Greek god, Apollo, who is the god of sunlight, prophecy, music, and poetry. With such characteristics, the collection targets a laid-back, artistic, and trendy modern man. Apollo incorporates warm, dark brown colors to represent the fall's trending colors, as well as, contrasting light colors for a playful touch. Thus, the collection's apparel and accessories should make their consumers feel youthful and in-style while doing any task.

Iron Cloud - Military Trend Apparel Collection

"Iron Cloud" is a project based on the military trend by emphasizing neutral colors and camouflage prints. The title has a juxtapositional effect where "iron" represents toughness, while "cloud" represents softness. The purpose of the collection is to produce comfortable, yet heavy-duty fashion for both men and women.

Men's Vintage Fashion Collection

This project focuses on men's fashion from the 1950s. Suits, trousers, vests, collared shirts, and ties were essential pieces of clothing during this period in the United States. Additionally, there was the main use of fabrics like polyester, wool, silk, and tweed with patterns like stripes, argyle, and herringbone. In this Post-WWII decade, men started to shift to a rather youthful, smart-casual look.

Women's Vintage Fashion Collection

This project focuses on women's fashion from the 1950s. Suit sets and midi-length skirts and dresses were staple pieces for this era of American fashion. The trend focused on bright and bold colors and patterns such as floral, gingham, polka dot, and animal prints. Just like men's fashion in the 1950s, women's fashion emphasized a youthful image. Silhouettes became an important part of fashion, which led to an emphasis on hourglass figures and shirtwaist dresses with bigger skirts. This was also a step away from the previous war era and decades of conservative fashion.

Lizard Boys - Kids' Collection

"Lizard Boys" is an apparel collection for boys in early grade school, specifically ages 5 to 10. This collection's color palette and fabric patterns take inspiration from tropical environments and their reptilian and amphibious inhabitants. Aside from bright, lively colors to signify youth, the collection incorporates brown, green,  and turquoise into the color palette to signify the natural land: earth, plants, and water. With this collection, kids can wear fun prints and colors while playing outdoors, at school, or at home and still feel comfortable.

Beach Babies - Kids' Collection

"Beach Babies" is an apparel collection for girls in early grade school, specifically ages 5 to 10. As shown in the collection title, the collection's concept is based on the beach environment which is shown through the mix of warm and cool colors to represent the sun and water and fun printed patterns of sea creatures and bubbles. This summer collection will make little girls look cute and feel comfortable enough both indoors and outdoors.

Tropics - Resort Collection

"Tropics" is an apparel and accessories collection consisting mostly of swimwear for men and women. The phrase "lavish in paradise" exhibits an image of luxury which is the collection's key concept. Sophistication and glamour are carried through each leather good, piece of jewelry, swimsuit, and accessory. The collection's color palette embodies the image of a tropical paradise or an elevated beach resort with white sand, green trees, fluffy clouds, and the wide ocean reflecting the blue sky.
